How can I recycle a type of waste you do not have a free recycling program for?

Did you know that most packages and products are not recycled through curbside pickup because it costs more to collect and recycle the waste than the value of the recycled outputs?

The free recycling programs we run have no cost to you because the brand funds the cost of collecting and processing the waste minus the value of the resulting recycled materials.

Brands are not obligated to offer recycling or other end-of-life solutions for their products and packages. Your feedback to our brand partners is essential, and letting them know that recycling solutions for the products you buy are important to you will go a long way to launching and scaling these recycling solutions.

Alternatively, you may be interested in purchasing one of our Zero Waste Boxes™. This complete and convenient solution includes the storage, shipping, and recycling of a particular type of waste that isn’t currently recycled through curbside pickup.

I heard that Rubbermaid is no longer recycling black plastic food containers.  Is this true?
