Zero Waste Boxes that have UPS labels should be shipped back using UPS. Please be aware that scheduling a pick-up with UPS is not free. If you schedule a pick-up with UPS, you will be charged by UPS, and TerraCycle is unable to reimburse you for this service.
As of January 20, 2026, we have switched most of our Zero Waste Boxes to FedEx for inbound shipping. You can drop your box off at your local FedEx location or utilize their pickup services, free of charge.
Dropping off
- The shipping label needed is pre-attached to the box.
- Find a FedEx shipping location near you: local.fedex.com/en
- Drop off your Zero Waste Box at your preferred FedEx location
Scheduling a pickup
- Call 1-800-463-3339
- Answer the prompts as follows:
- Your tracking number can be found on the shipping label.
- Say you want to schedule a pickup
- Confirm you have a label, then provide the tracking number.
- Choose ground shipping
- Confirm the next-day shipping date, your pickup address, and the pick-up time window.
- Your call will be transferred to FedEx’s customer service line, where someone will confirm the information you’ve provided and provide a case number for your pickup request
- Leave your package outside in a dry, clear, and visible area, like your front porch, for pickup
